Winston Churchill advised he was to be made First Lord to the Admiralty on Visiting the Prime Minister Herbert Asquith in the autumn of 1911. This meeting took place at the home of Prime Minister Asquith, Archerfield House Dirleton North Berwick East Lothian. The collector who serviced this cover must have been aware of the significances of the postmark as it's a superb cancel Pristine condition, complete with insert card.
