22nd October 1975, Jane Austen, Postcard of the Village Church Godmersham Kent, Godmersham Canterbury Kent cds. Godmersham Park was the home of Jane Austen's Brother Edward Knight. Jane and her sister Cassandra were frequent visitors. Jane used the library there to research her novels. She also used the house as the setting for parts of her novel Mansfield Park, and describes the architecture of the house exactly as we see it today. Scarce unlisted postmark & card.
