I have not seen this cachet on cover before! The story of Sir Henry Wood's visit to Southport goes back to 1936. This year was the Southport Orchestral Society's Golden Jubilee year, as an Orchestra was formed in 1886. Sir Henry was invited to conduct for the Jubilee concert. Pristine condition, complete with informative insert card. Unaddressed.
